The first gay monument in the US struggle inaugurated by President Barack Obama


HBSNews.com - US President Barack Obama, inaugurated the monument in honor of LGBT near stonewall Bar, District of Mathann, New York City. The chosen location was once a place same enthusiast activist clashed with police in 1969.

President Obama said the oncidents of assault LGBT stonewall should always be remembered by the American people. He declared a natioal monument that will include a 3-hectare site, to Christoper Park area. "I believe a national museum should reflect the story of our nation as a whole, namly the diversity of human beings who live in this country," Obama said a videotaped as reported by the BBC, (25/06).

Obama welcome video aired on Times Square, the heart of New Tork, today to coincide with gay Pride parade. Construction of the monument was not getting rejection of intolerant right-wing groups who usually act in the US.

Stoonewall ar of attacks occured in July 1969. At that time, the New York Police attacked the group homesexual who want to buy beer at the store. Police argue there are laws that prohibit same enthusiasts buy alcoholic beverages. Stonewall Riots sparked a national debate in the US. As a result, the next decade there is no more persecution and discrimination dor LGBT people in the land of Uncle Sam.

Thanks to the events of Stonewall, gays must be a member of the US military. Obama said the spirit o the LGBT activist againts police at Stonewall should be remembered. "We are stronger when united, whatever our background," said the US president. The us lost countless progessive than the Europan countries in granting right ofthe LGBT community. Evidently, by 2015 the US Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage in the entire state.
