Putin content with Russia-ASEAN summit in Sochi

HBSNews.com - May21 - Russian President Vladimir Putin is content with the result of Russia_ASEAN Summit held in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on 19-20 May.

"There is no single disagreement (among participants). There is a complete understanding of the task that we face today and how we should deal with it," Putin said, noting  "concrete issues had on the table." "In general, I liked the highlight as though the festive natre - we have gathered here to mark the 20th anniversary of our partnership - the meeting was very useful and detailed," said Putin.

The summit participants "focus on concrete aspects of cooperation and what is more - on the concrete projects as we have economic relations, culture and politics a long time with many countries," he said.

"In any case, with each country we have nothing to talk about," Putin said.

Russian is ready to offer a new generation of nuclear power plants to ASEAN countries.

Russian is ready to meet the growing needs of ASEAN countries in energy resources and build nuclear power plants of new generation in the region, President Vladimr Putin said. "Interaction in the energy sector could be raised to a new level," said Putin, speaking at a meeting of heads of delegation with representative from the ASEAN Business Forum.

"ASEAN countries expernced a growth in demand for hydrocarbons and electricity. Russia is ready to meet this de demand to grow over the long term, the supply of energy, ready to offer the project of nuclear power plants new generation, ready to work in the power sector in a broad sense the world," said Russian leader. According to Putin, cooperation in the transport sector also looks promising.

"Russian business is interested in participating in the construction of modern railway, for example, as we do today in Indonesia, where the project is being carried out on the island of Borneo, the investment in which totaled $ 1.9 Billion, " he said.

Putin also said that "it is necessary to develop advanced satellite navigation system."

"We propose to do it this on the basis of the Russian GLONASS satellite navigation system. Russia is also ready to move on to the initiative for the development of the ASEAN region as a whole." said the Russian leader.

He invited businessmen from ASEAN countries "to participate in program continued development of the Far East." He stressed that Russia has created 12 regions with preferential tretment for businesses.

Putin invites entrepreneurs ASESAN for 2016 economic forum in St Petersbug and Vladivostok.

Vladimir Putin has invited represebtatives of the ASEAN business community to attend the 2016 economic forum in St. Petersburg and Vladivostok in 2016.

"I want to invited all present to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June as well as the Economic Forum East, which we annually organize in Vladivostok on September 2-3," Putin said at a meeting o heads of delegations.

Putin hopes contacts interesting, useful and promosing or all participants in the meeting.

Russia-ASEAN Summit held in Sochi on 19-20 May and has become the largest international event in Russia in 2016. The summit was held under the slogan "Towards a Strategic Partnership for the Sake of the Common Good." Russia has been a dialogue partner of ASEAN since July 1996. Summit similar partnerships are usually held in the territory of the member states and the choice of Sochi as the venue for Russian-ASEAN summit on the 20th anniversary of the partnership is symbolic.
